Day 16: My Favorite Spiritual Teachers

I am drawn to all things Hawaii. I have been blessed beyond belief by getting to travel there many times, often at no expense, save for spending money. So whenever anything appears in my consciousness that has something to do with Hawaii, my interest is immediately piqued.

Last year, I wandered into a used book store. As I was standing by the spirituality section, one of the workers plopped a book on the shelf right near me. I looked up and I spotted the word "Hawaii." I couldn't ignore it, so I picked it up.

The book was, "Zero Limits: The Secret System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More" by Dr. Joe Vitale and Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. In the book, they teach the ancient Hawaiian practice called Ho'oponopono. At its base, it is a practice composed of four sentences:

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

These four sentences, directed towards the Divine, are a way to take responsibility for your entire life, including all the things that appear in your consciousness. A problem has appeared in your consciousness, so it is your responsibility to "clean" it. Ho'oponopono offers a way to do that.

I find that this practice is a beautiful way to practice self-forgiveness. I also appreciate that it helps me clean any weirdness between myself and others.

I highly recommend "Zero Limits." As I've said in my previous posts: I recommend things because I love them. This is not a paid ad!
