Between the years of 2004 and 2006, I was in Graduate school, pursuing my Master in Music degree in Vocal Performance. I taught music most of the week from my home, but Fridays were a typical day off. On that day, I would catch up with my household chores.
On those mornings, I would turn on the television while I was cleaning. That was when I would catch psychic-medium Sylvia Browne on the Montel Williams Show.
I watched her, but was simultaneously anxious and terrified. I was amused by her dry style and crazy long nails. However, I was frightened at the thought of communicating with the spirit realm or loved ones on the other side. I remember thinking how I would freak out if I ever "saw something."
How things change! Spirit used Sylvia Browne and the Montel Williams show to open up my mind and get me used to the possibility of Spirit communication. Years later, I found myself attending mediumship classes. Eventually, I found myself standing in front of a church congregation delivering spirit messages to whomever I felt called.
Sometimes we are indeed called to the very thing we most fear.
