Today is the final installment of My Favorite Spiritual Teachers. I'd like to highlight the work of Florence Scovel Shinn.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy of her Complete Works. She wrote several short books including "Your Word is Your Wand." I find it to be food for my soul!! I learned so much about setting my mind right in faith through her.
In her writing, she encourages people to "dig their ditches." That means to prepare the space and the way for good to appear in your life. If you want to travel, get out the luggage and get your passport. If you want a new car, go test drive a few. Show the Universe that you have faith and that you aren't joking around about your desires!
People love her work so much, they've created videos of her affirmations. I have listened to them before and they are soothing!
Every now and again, we all need a spiritual boost of faith. Florence Scovel Shinn's work does that for me!
